PvE Colloseum
I had an idea (and I have many because I have beaten the game and I'm bored) that could make the PVE portion of the game more enjoyable. Adding in PVE Colloseums where you and 3 other 'Gladiators' go in and fight waves of monsters that come through doors. Ok, picture this, you're in a room roughly the size of the droknor's Competition waiting room and it's an octagonal shape. Each side has a door.
Now, you and your friends have assembled a team. You go into the arena, and a door opens, and out pops several angry bog skales, dead in about two seconds. Your team continues on for several rounds with increasingly harder and diverse monsters to from all around the world to fight. Eventually at about your 20th round the Aatxes come in to fight. Uh oh, Grenth is tired of Dwayna's Gladiators killing all his monsters, now he means business. After a couple waves of tough Aatxes and more, Facets as well as other new monsters start to show up. Eventually you get to fight really hard bosses with two professions just like you, and on top of that they're starting to organize spike teams against you. Look out, cause eventually you're going to end up losing.
Now, lets see. In the after math you've gotten quite a few arena points to spend on buying your character a new look because you hate your hair cut, or a new face altogether. But that's not all, you can trade in your points to buy new emotes and other things that are worthless but still show off you worked hard. I don't know, I'm just pulling this all out my ass, I really don't know what the reward would be. Maybe if you get up to a certain level, you get to go through any door of your choice and get a chest, like every 5 levels. The farther in level you get, the better chances you have of getting good drops.

What I really want though (it has been suggested before many times) a pvp colleseum with 50+ people. No faction reward though.

this sounds like a good idea....maybe A.Net could plug it in in the expansion as a minigame?

Great idea...
Certainly, we need some kind of arena place where you can just fight waves of monsters for rewards, rather than having to go out into the big sprawling world or getting into a team to fight other players.

You should have up to 8 players on your team, and there should be LOTS of monsters.
Think: Helm's Deep or Pelenor Fields.

Excellent idea...it's been done in WCIII custom maps, and the concept is great.

Giving out my ideas
How about spending Faction points we PvE-only-people don't really need, to buy extra emotes, change hair, change clothes etc.?
Or exchange those points into cash... that would be a lot better than just having them there and not using them ever.
And... wouldn't it be nice to get some Fame for the time the character has been used... like 1 Fame point / 1K hrs or so? Now I won't ever get any as I don't do any PvP (thanks to all those "friendly" people there whenever I go and try).

I think that kind of "survival mode" is a great idea. I believe someone mentioned it in one of the other PvE enhancement threads as well... It certainly lengthens the interest of PvE, especially if how far you or your group got could be recorded, perhaps in a ladder-like fashion, or just a top-10 list. A few things that might need to get worked out are the presumed plethora of corpses that necromancers would have at their disposal... as well as the matter of exp at the later levels.

This is a great idea, someone should really send anet an email or something telling them about this. A survival mode that that would br really fun, and would get a lot of responce form ppl whom dont like pvp (i still dont know y they dont?).

Awesome idea with the arena..I personally dont like PvP and this would definitly make things more interesting. Also like the idea about using faction points for other things, like changing your appearence. Good ideas!

It would be pretty awesome since you would have to get a build to counter liek everything. Making up "the unbeatable build" would be the most fun I think.
